REEFLINE Beach Towel

Limited-edition of reversible beach towels that can also be used as wraps or mats, created in collaboration with Carolina K.

Titled Carta Marina, the illustration reinterprets Olaus Magnus’ 1539 map, once a key to humanity’s imagination of the sea, and features words by author Susan Casey, a poetic call for ocean protection:

“Centuries ago we believed that monsters lived in the ocean. In the absence of knowledge, there was fear. Today, we know our magnificent, magical ocean kin. We know their beauty. We know their essential roles in earth’s largest ecosystem. What must arise now is wisdom—a pledge to revere and protect every marine creature.”

Released in advance of Miami Art Week, the Carta Marina towel is produced in a limited edition of 200, made of recycled polyester from ocean and landfill waste. 

100% of proceeds go towards supporting REEFLINE. 

Carolina K has been a pioneer of sustainable practices for over two decades, using recycled materials across her brand, from homewares to ready-to-wear, swimwear collections and collaborating with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to protect Fragile Ecosystems.
